Worktree Careers Fair at Gulliver's Land Milton Keynes
Worktree is delighted to be hosting a Careers Fair at Gulliver’s Land Milton Keynes as part of educational visits taking place, welcoming pupils to the theme park from schools across the country.
The visits give pupils the opportunity to learn more about how Gulliver’s Land operates, while also exposing them to a wide range of industries, organisations and career opportunities which is what Worktree is involved in.
The Careers Fair
The aim of the Careers Fair is to give pupils the opportunity to:
-
Gain awareness of different careers, industries and sectors
-
Develop an understanding of qualifications, routes and career pathways
-
Learn about apprenticeships, graduate opportunities and other training routes
-
Build confidence when speaking to new people from the world of work
-
Ask questions and gain a real insight into different careers and skills
Your Stand
Each organisation will have its own display table, giving pupils the opportunity to visit your stand, find out more about your organisation and industry, and discover the different opportunities available within your company.
You can bring anything that helps bring your organisation and careers to life. For example:
-
Information about your organisation
-
Examples of jobs and careers within your industry
-
Information about apprenticeships, graduate opportunities or other training routes
-
Activities, demonstrations or interactive resources
-
Uniform, equipment, tools, products or materials from your workplace
-
Photographs showing your workplace or colleagues in action
-
Your website URL or QR code for pupils to find out more
-
Items featuring your company logo to help pupils recognise your organisation
You do not need to bring all of the above. Anything that is easy for you to bring along is absolutely fine.
You do not need to bring anything to give away to pupils.
We also encourage employers to bring a company pull-up banner where possible. This can make your stand more visually engaging and help pupils easily identify your organisation.
How will it work?
Pupils will walk around the fair in small groups and choose which organisations they would like to speak to. We encourage employers to create a conversational experience, giving pupils the opportunity to explore, ask questions and find out what it is really like to work in your industry.
The aim is to help pupils make a stronger connection with the world of work, while inspiring them to think about careers and opportunities they may never have considered.
Where do I go? Please report to the main gate (red gate) at the entrance of the theme park.
What time do I need to arrive? Arrival is from 10.15am onwards to allow for set-up time, with students arriving to the fair at 11.00am.
